Abstract

.Mind is difficult to control. It is restless like air.
.‘Yoga Chitavriti Nirodah’. By yoga you can stop restlessness of mind.
.There are two methods to control mind; discipline and non-attachments.
.Discipline enforced from outside, does not help. When discipline comes from within, it transforms.
.Practicing Mauna (silence) is one of the disciplines.
.Controlling is not diverting attention from speaking to writing.
.Mauna requires being satisfied within yourself and not giving instructions to anyone.
.Similarly, fasting is another discipline. It is not just changing food.
.Karma Yoga is doing activity to get peace of mind. It is not disturbed by success or failure.
.When goal of life is turned inward like attaining peace of mind, Jnana and Karma become Yoga.

Shri N V Raghuram , BE (Civil),
