Jnana yoga consists of this entire spectrum, the path of analysis. It consists shamana, manana, nithidhyasana, Jnana, then higher stages of Jnana, advanced Jnana yoga, jivan mukti and all that. Whereas shamana, manana, nithidhyasana the sadhana aspects are meant to get at the Jnana and sadhana chatusthaya the four dimensions of sadhana are contained in these aspects to reach the Jnana. So how to comtemplate, how to get into these higher stages from nithidhyasana, contemplating, contemplating, questioning, questioning and going to the very source of the intellect. That is the Jnana, you will get a realization, you will get an experience of doing that. So sadhana chatusthaya is part of Jnana yoga. Just like yamanemasanapratyehara are part of the Raja Yoga, are part of the Ashtanga Yoga. In the same way these sadhana chatusthaya is part of Jnana Yoga just like asanas are part of Yoga. And therefore the dimensions of sadhana, the practices, practices of Jnana Yoga hinge around these essentially three aspects, that is the getting the information, questioning and getting the clarification and contemplating, doing the experiment, understanding and experimentation. Both these things form the key essence in the Jnana Yoga sadhana.
