Abstract

1.Friends……..Goal of life is to be a yogi.
2.To be a yogi, we need to stop thought process as and when required. It is achieved by practice and detachment.
3.We must learn to live with success or failure, appointments or disappointments, noise or calmness.
4.Destiny cannot be dispensed with.
5.Submission or acceptance of destiny brings calmness.
6.What cannot be cured should be endured or enjoyed.
7.Faith in god helps you to feel secured.
8.Truth helps to know secret of birth and death cycles.
9.I am not this body, I am something eternal. That is soul or ‘Atman’.
10.Such realization of truth gives detachment, calmness and cheerfulness. Let’s meditate on smiling face of Lord Krishna.


 

Prof K Subramanyam PhD
Dean, Division of Yoga and Humanities, has a specialization in English Literature (American and lndo-Anglian as optionals) and Philosophy (Gandhian Philosophy - optional). He is presently the Honorary Adviser, Vivekananda College, Tiruvekadam, Madurai District. He has been a Member, NAAC peer team. He has authored 14 books on various topics including books on Education. He has presented and published a large number of papers on socially relevant and spiritual topics. He is a prolific speaker with an ability to weave magic with his words, with a capacity to talk to people at all levels.
