ANNOUNCEMENT

The ICMR Centre for Advanced Research in YOGA and NEUROPHYSIOLOGY, Division of
Yoga & Life Sciences, Swami Vivekananda Yoga University, Bangalore is inviting applications
for a one month training programme in:

BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF YOGA TECHNIQUES AND TRAINING IN NEUROPHYSIOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES RELEVANT TO YOGA RESEARCHfrom January 15, 2011 to February 14, 2011.


• There will be interactive seminars and workshops. Participants will get experience of tackling important issues in clinical neurophysiology.
• The course will broadly cover Basics of Research, Basics of yoga, and Basic electrophysiological techniques and exposure to advanced neurophysiological techniques.
• The workshop will also cover topics like ethical issues and funding sources.
• Participants will be given TA as per ICMR scales. Suitable accommodation will be arranged by the organizers at the campus. The total number of participants has been kept at 20 in order to facilitate interaction between faculty and participants.
• Applications are invited from Graduates in all medical fields or post graduates in yoga, psychology and allied sciences, who are employed / studying at an institution which is interested in yoga research and would depute them for the training. The applications should be forwarded both by the head of the department and head of the institution.
