5.7 Outcome:
(a) Submitted 3 manuscripts to International Indexed Journals for consideration.
(b) Manjunath, N.K. & Telles, S. (2000). A comparison of yoga with Ayurveda on insomnia scores and hand grip strength in geriatric population. Indian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology, XLVI Annual Conference of Association of Physiologists and Pharmacologists of India, pp. 35. Both Yoga and the Ayurvedic preparations were beneficial to the geriatric population. However, the yoga group showed better compliance and improvement in more measures assessed, such as memory, lung functions, balance and gait, mood, sleep and muscle strength (b) 5 manuscripts are being compiled.
