PRASHANTI KUTIRAM (Abode of tranquility) 32 kms from Bangalore, the residential campus of VYASA is a spacious campus of about 50 acres set amidst natural beauty and serene atmosphere. PRE-CONFERENCE PROGRAMS (Jan 11 to December 19, 2009)
1. Himálaya Yoga Olympiad starting from Jan 12, 2009
This programme is essentially meant to bring together the students of Yoga from different institutions, especially the youth, under one roof & to propagate the holistic vision of yoga. Only teams are allowed to participate in this Olympiad converting competitive spirit to cooperation through team development. Yoga excellence team selection is conducted at district and state levels throughout India. The final rounds for National and International Himálaya will be held at the Conference venue from December 15-18, 2009.
2. Yoga Therapy Camps (December 11 to 18, 2009)
This is meant for patients with different ailments. Eight tracks of yoga therapy introduce the latest updated techniques of Integrated Approach of Yoga Therapy (IAYT) under the expert guidance of Dr R Nagarathna MD, FRCP. (5.00 am to 7.20 am; 10.30 am to 1.00 pm; 3.00 pm to 5.30 pm and 8.30 pm-10.00 pm). Venue: Árogyadháma
3. Spiritual Retreat (December 12-18, 2009)
Prof NVC Swamy, Dr R Venkatram, Dr H R Nagendra and Sri N V Raghuram will introduce the frontier areas of Science and the Wisdom of Upanishads in this retreat (5 am to 10.00 pm). |
