Abstract

Coherent breath is characterized by slow and deep breath of a specific modality and it is one of the several highly effective interventions that work through the body to tap into the emotional brain’s self-healing process without resorting to medicines or psychoanlysis. This approach combines cutting edge science with alternative medicine and is validated by scientific research and is the psychiatry of the future. This line of treatment is essential for anyone wanting to avoid the drug therapy trap which is not without injurious side effects.

Live demonstration is part of the presentation showing how balance can be achieved in the autonomous nervous system by a particular breathing modality. The author has been working in association with the scientists of HeartMath Institue based in Colorado,USA who have developed FREEZE FRAMER technology for analyzing heart rhythms in real time and Dr.Stephen Elliott, author of the book ‘The New Science of Breathing’ published in 2006 in the USA.The Delhi School of Yoga (regd.) has devised procedures for timing the breathing modality using Mantras from Indian religious scriptures which lead to instant coherence in the heart rhythms with consequent several health benefits. The switch over from chaos to coherence in the autonomous nervous system shall be demonstrated in the live demonstration during the course of the presentation “YOGA POSITIVE”.
