Pimples   Pityriasis
Acne is a common skin condition characterized by pimples, mostly on the face, upper chest, shoulders, and back. It occurs in adolescence around puberty when the body starts secreting the sex hormones. It is caused by an interaction between hormones, skin oils and bacteria that result in inflammation of hair follicles leading to black heads or cysts that may go on to form abscesses that are pus-filled pockets.
 
Pityriasis Rosacea typically begins with a solitary pink scaly patch (called the herald spot or patch) that heralds the eruption. This enlarges over a few days to become a patch with a ring of fine scaly skin just inside the border Rosacea is a common skin disorder which affects the facial area of the body. Pityriasis rosea (PR) is an acute and characteristic exanthem that has been described for more than 2 centuries.
     
 
     
Sleep Apnea   Thyroid
Apnea means "cessation of breath”. Sleep Apnea is characterized by restless sleep, excessive daytime sleepiness, loud snoring, gasping, choking (may wake self up),confusion upon awakening, excessive perspiration during sleep and unrefreshing sleep. Associated features may include overweight, irritability, depression,morning headaches etc.
 

The thyroid gland is a butterfly shaped gland situated in the neck region. It helps the body to maintain normal temperature and is essential for the normal metabolic functioning of every cell in your body. The thyroid gland secretes a hormone called thyroxine which is also known as T4. It is called as T4 because the hormone contains 4 iodine atoms.

     
 
     
Obesity   Ventral Hernia
Obesity or excessive fat in the body is becoming one of the major problems of this century. There are three stages of obesity enviable, laughable and pitiable. If you are a little over weight then your face will look round and smooth and beautiful (although concept of beauty changes from time to time). This is the enviable stage. If you put on some more fat and you look ugly, people will laugh at you.
 
Ventral hernia refers to hernia in the abdomen. Think of your abdomen as a big bag or a box containing many structures well packed and set into the small space called abdominal cavity. Solid structure like spleen, liver, kidneys and pancreas are all packed in the upper and back part of the cavity loose, mobile tubes of intestines (32 feet) and stomach are loosely coiled into the central and front space.
